Reunited (And It Feels So Good)

Not quite that long ago.

Before weblogs and typing messages on Star Trek communicator pads I was a total chat room whore. At university I kept uncivilised hours and associated with ne’er-do-wells so chat rooms were perfect for me. I spent too much time in questionable rooms with people I hardly knew. Online as well. I had no company loyalty and jumped around from one server to the next. I guess Yahoo did not have chat rooms. But the largest company and the one with the most rooms by far was AOL. Anybody older than my nephew should remember a time when AOL dominated the internet. That guy saying you’ve got mail became so iconic that Nora Ephron made a movie about it.

I have my ten year high school reunion this year and I have no idea why I'm going, I didn't like most of the people 10 years ago so I doubt I'll like em better now!
I remember AOL and chat-rooms, back when the internet was just a little-un! In fact I was saying to Mr.P the other day that when we first got the internet (it was 97 and my dad's work gave him a laptop(which was about the size of a desktop these days!) which he could use to dial into his work's internet, was only supposed to be for his work and I don't think he even knew how to turn it on...even if he did I would not have let him near it!) all I ever did was use chat-rooms as they were about the only thing on there that was any good! Man how I loved chatting, so many intersting people to meet.

I think you were more care free and open on those days. The vision of you chatting with many people about your nakedness is a delight.

Why you never send me naked pictures? I will take 3 questions?

Ok. Here's an example of the 3 questions.
#1 What's my name?
#2 What's the only ammendment in the US Bill of Rights never to be violated by Congress?
#3 What did I have for breakfast this morning?

I'm guessing it's the third.
I don't want pictures, I just like trivia.

That was in answer to the second question, in case anyone is confused.

#3 is correct. The American congress never housed soldiers in civilian homes without permission.

The point of the 3 questions was always to shut up the trolls. The 1st question would be very easy. My name was in my screen name so guessing it didn't take much. Sometimes I'd ask what day it was. The 2nd question would be some trivia type that's possible to answer but unlikely if it's a teenager trolling for naked pictures. The 3rd would be something you couldn't possibly know unless you knew me very well. This is how I amused myself in my youth.

I remember AOL. I mostly played games. The "L" in "ASL" is important for predators and stalkers. They know how to get tons of info from their victims.

If I answer your 3 questions will you send me a naked pic? ~~~}~~{@}

Are you being ironic?
