All is Forgiven

The Yamim Noraim have once again come and gone. And nobody got hurt. My sins of the past year have mostly been pretty minor. I did not kill anybody. I did not covet my neighbour’s house or wife. I’ve not worshipped any false idols or made graven images. I did not commit adultery. At least not by my definition. At most it was more avone than pesha. It is all a bit of a grey area.

I loved your "At least not by my definition" in the first paragraph, laughed hard for a few seconds, thanks, my day needed that one.

Funny how things change and the customs adapt as well. I read about how rabbis are still disagreeing whether the devout should wave a chicken over their head or just paper money or other item. My wife mentions how the real religious adhere strictly to Shabat, and others watch TV behind closed doors so the neighbors don't see them using electricity.

I'm all for abolishing TV 7 days a week. But that has nothing to do with religion.
