As with so many others, Mubarak has been filed under "He may be a son-of-a-bitch but he's OUR son-of-a-bitch."
I hope actual democracy comes too, but with the realisation that democracy doesn't always deliver the result that outsiders might hope for.
Also, real democracy has to be adjusted to. You can't just have an election and call it a democracy, because people are used to leadership being a job for life. See Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Iran....
I think the people are finally realising that leaders aren't supposed to be in office for life.
