Unless you can somehow take a story of Israel taking in refugees and turn it into a crime against humanity or racial profiling or sexism or whatever you want it to be. Israel takes in refugees and lets them become full members of society rather than houses them indefinitely in refugee camps or turns them away. I think that is a good thing. Israel is a very small country. There really is not all that much room. But we know why it is bad to turn away people who will probably be imprisoned and murdered in their homelands.

as you may or may not know, the canadian government had a program to sterilize indians... it also had one where they would take docile indians and breed them with other docile indians but that one is covered up although, working in the department that did this, i did see the records.
the issue is that the countries most noisy tend to be those places that did this sort of thing for population control so that the indians for example, would not create more indians since indians were a problem in the racist times.
indians on reserve can get all the birth control pills they want in canada.
the us did this as well... i dont know israels reason for doing this however.

I'm not sure where you're disagreeing with me. Canada and the US did a lot of horrible things to Indians, but that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I don't think it has anything to do with their immigrant statistics since Indians are not immigrants in those countries. Unless they are included, which would be stupid.
Israel did not sterilise these Ethiopians. The contraceptives they were given are temporary. Every one of these women can have children at a later date. Assuming they could before. They were given medication that they were already taking anyway.
If Israel sterilised anybody it would be the top story all over the world. There would be protests at every American, Israeli, European and Arab embassy. The UN would authorise an immediate bombing campaign. Even if they wanted to be sterilised.
I chose the Cat Stevens song because he's a perfect example of the American media attacking somebody without knowing anything about why they did whatever they did.
I remember reading an American article complaining about how he changed his name. It compared him with Muhammad Ali, who the author thought should have remained Cassius Clay. I don't think he realised that Cat Stevens was not his real name.
I see subterfuge here. Unable to directly accuse Israel of racism and and to impute efforts to reduce the number of black jews, papers attack the contraceptics and thereby achieve the same result... i.e., condemning israel for racism.
The audience is not completely immune to this sort of effort since most are highly suspicious of israel in the first place and are therefore much easier to convince.
cat stephens seems a harmless man, and might even be doing some good. another perspective on islam..
