I've never been much of a traveler, but I love traveling around the world courtesy of your blog posts. I always feel that I get a wonderful feel for a place from your writing.
Fascinating post. I'll admit, I'm guilty of seeing most of the region as rocky desert, and I'm glad that you've cleared that up. Israel had now moved up quite a bit on my "places to go" list. Though of course, it IS a very long list!
Ever since I was a teenager (back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth) I have always wanted to visit that part of the world where you live. It's rich with history, and very different from my part of the world. I would love to swim in the Dead Sea, or Yam HaMelakh, and the picture you have posted of it here looks beautiful.
One other place I have always wanted to visit is Russia, and there is a woman who posts pictures of Moscow. Reading both your blogs, and getting a first hand travelogue from each of you is very interesting to me.

I'm undecided if I should encourage people to come here. It's a great place to visit but if everybody realised that it would be too crowded.
I'd love to take the train from Moscow to Vladivostok.
If you feel unsafe driving in China it must be very bad.
Imagine millions of people driving with their eyes closed.
