More Angels and Demons

What got Help in trouble was the depiction of homosexuals as sympathetic characters. Homosexuals are traditionally portrayed as mentally disturbed or amoral criminals. In the end they should either repent or die. In this film they are simply regular people with regular problems. They do not even see being homosexual as a problem. You can see why this movie had it coming.

And I a smiling woman.
I am only thirty.
And like the cat I have nine times to die.
This is Number Three.
What a trash
To annihilate each decade.
What a million filaments.
The peanut-crunching crowd
Shoves in to see
Them unwrap me hand and foot----
The big strip tease.
Gentleman, ladies,
These are my hands,
My knees.
I may be skin and bone,
Nevertheless, I am the same, identical woman.
The first time it happened I was ten.
It was an accident.
The second time I meant
To last it out and not come back at all.
I rocked shut
As a seashell.
They had to call and call
And pick the worms off me like sticky pearls.

Dying
Is an art, like everything else.

Happy Birthday with a poem from Sylvia Plath.....

That doesn't really make me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Being the realist that I think you are, you will be able to read between the lines and see that the woman described in the poem is strong and confident and a bit wary of birthdays. I wanted to honour your character with a good strong intellectual poem!

I think we cannot be surprised that its the christians who censored this film even if it is a majority moslem state. Christians have always been more censoring than moslems.

All religions censor thought. They don't want people to think for themselves so they can control more. Films are dangerous to religion because they teach people how to think for themselves.

I couldn't disagree more.

Are you saying film is the new religion?

I'm not surprised it was the Catholic Church that banned the film. They ban anything that won't fit in their preconceptions.
