Slippery When Wet

And what about bestiality and ultimately what about child molestation and pedophilia? How can we criminalize these things and at the same time have constitutional amendments allowing same-sex marriage among homosexuals.

-- Marion “Pat” Robertson

If you are a Marionite have somebody who can read look up the word incommensurable and explain it to you. An adult human marrying another adult human and having messy anal sex until they become bored with each other and turn their attention to reality TV has as much to do with beastiality and paedophilia as green. Beastiality is to homosexuality what hate from TV preachers is to the teachings of Jesus.

Marionite or Marionette?

If anyone accepts the notion that this is the slippery slope towards men marrying goats, women marrying horses and monkeys marrying cars (why do right-wingers' minds immediately turn to bestiality anyway?) then logic dictates that same-sex marriage is not the first step, but the second and that the first step was inter-racial marriage. I dare any of them to make that argument - although I'm sure many of them would, and possibly did, back when it was fashionable.

Where I come from lots of people still think it's better to marry a goat than somebody of another race.

I think we all know why they always turn to beastiality.

Despite the freudianally suspect title of this post, I find the coverage interesting except for the last bit. Next to Boy George,(my blog is dedicated in part to him) I often listen to Bon Jovi, and find "Blaze of Glory" a seminal work. To equate the existence of this group of young men who have contributed so much to world literature to the end of the world is simply malicious.

Jon Bon Jovi, if not Boy George, is the antichrist. Jerry falwell said so.

Gay men don't bother me since they make less competition. Lesbians infuriate me since I can't compete.

Don't forget robot sex, Pat.

People like Pat Robertson are the reason most people turn away from religion. Compassionate human beings can't stand the venom these so called men of god preach.

We should all start calling him Marion. He'd probably call for jihad against us.

I don't think most people turn away from religion. But Marion and his kind do make it harder for genuine men of God.
